Artist's Comments

the title is a reference to the book Midnighters Vol. 1 by Scott Westerfeld
in it the main character thinks she is dreaming when she awakens during midnight in the middle of a storm
it is absolutely quiet and the rain that has stopped in mid air appear like diamond orbs to her

my father made me laugh when i showed him this picture

"how'd you get it to stop"
"what stop?"
"..."
"it's a picture dad, the water doesn't keep going, haha"

i think i kinda know what he meant though
because the water comes out in what appears to be a straight jet
but when i took the photograph the water was just coming out and there are gaps in the stream near the end so i categorized this photo as surreal in the end... :blahblah:

i understand if you don't understand anything you just read, haha, i was rambling a bit.

A photographer after my own heart =p I love motion photography too - have to say, haven't experienced much with water though...this is a great photo; I love the detail you've captured in the water droplets! Did you use a flash to get the shiny/metallic quality on the water?

There's no such thing as 'normal people'. Just 'standard' people.
